René A. Richard

René is the father of Jacob Richard,JCLI’s namesake. René and his wife Stephanie have supported Jacob’s Colorlink Initiative and campJacob since their inception. He and Stephanie are the parents of three boys, Andrew, Philip, and Jacob.

He is the CEO of Samson Energy, a privately held energy company based in Tulsa, OK and lives in Houston, TX. René and Stephanie are active supporters of St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land, TX and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. René also serves on the Advisory Board to Spindletop Charities in Houston. He is a native of Thibodaux, LA and graduated in 1985 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
