Mélissa D. Padberg

Mélissa Padberg was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Her parents were part owners of the historic Hotel Villa Créole in Pétion-Ville and Mélissa took over the management in 2005 until its closing. She is the co-founder and co-president of the Mapou Foundation, a Haitian and U.S. registered non-profit, which raises funds for worthy local organizations in Haiti and is on the board of directors of Hope for Haiti and Bureau de Nutrition et Développement (BND). Mélissa is also a board member of the business management firm, Papyrus SA, and is currently Chief of Party, implementing the Konbit project for USAID.
